IE8 Crashes - Why you should wait, and how to fix

Issue: After installing Internet Explorer 8 on an XP Home SP3 computer, end user was no longer able to:
  1. Enter information in any blank fields of any websites
  2. Enter information into Outlook Express in the "body" field
  3. Access System Restore - the calendar was blank
There were additional multiple run time errors.

The Fix:  Uninstall Internet Explorer 8

  1. From the START (Globe for Vista users) button, goto CONTROL PANEL
  2. ADD / REMOVE PROGRAMS
  3. IE8 - Uninstall
A reboot is required. After reboot, all previous issues were fixed.  Advised end user to use FireFox.
