Outlook Express Spellcheck not working

Complaint: Outlook Express Spellcheck not working, or in wrong language

Cause: Not compatible with Office 2007, no onboard spell check

Fix:  (from email to client)
I've looked into this issue; Outlook Express does not have it's own "built in" spell check program, it uses /shares the dictionary from Microsoft Office for spell check abilities.  The problem is Microsoft Office 2007's dictionary program is not compatible with Outlook Express; now, it would make sense that they should, being made by the same company (Microsoft) and that they are put on the computer together... but they don't.

There is a solution however.  Spell Checker for OE 2.1

A free program, made to allow people to use Spell Checker in Outlook Express. This is a stand alone application, that incorporates in Outlook Express.

The purpose of this program, is to supply for free the ability to use Spelling in OE, without the need to purchase other software, such as MS Word,Works, or Office.

I have not used this software myself, however it is recommended from the Outlook Express tech support groups for the (many) users that have run into this issue (you are not the only one!)

-- The client emailed back and stated they were successful with the download and install with no problems.
